Upon completion of the application process to CDE, TILA requires an application process to its Alternative Teacher Licensure program that serves to support both the candidate and the program towards the successful completion of the licensure program.
This process includes the following steps:
-
Completion of the Alternative Teacher Licensure Application Form – this form provides TILA with important information to support candidates’ process in the Alternative Teacher Licensure Program including employment information, educational background, contact information, and demographic data. The application must include a check for $40 made payable to MHM Educational Services, LLC. This fee pays for the CDE application pre-evaluation required by the TILA program. If candidates enroll in the TILA program, the $40 fee will be credited towards their total program cost. It is the responsibility of the candidate to update contact information with TILA should it change during the program year.
- Completion of the Haberman Online Assessment - this assessment assists both program administrators and candidates in determining appropriate placements that offer the greatest possibility for success based on candidates’ strengths and needs.
- Introductory meeting – an introductory meeting with the candidate and principal or immediate supervisor is required. This meeting enables us to develop supportive relationships with both the candidate and the administration at the candidate’s school.
